Just went to smh.com and saw that NSW Premier Morris Iemma has resigned.

Whilst not a shock I guess given the circumstances, it's still somewhat surprising. It just seems like he's had blow after blow since he became premier and hasn't been able to really get back up again.
From the top of my head:
- The Iguana-gate scandal
- Electricity privitisation
- City Rail
- Cross City Tunnel
- Resignation of what seemed like most of his ministers at some point over his tenure
All these things seemed to have just added up against him to a point today when he retired. I'm not going to bring political leanings into this or anything but just wondering if it's more Iemma himself or external factors (ministers, etc.) that led to his resignation. Regardless I feel sorry for him.
